August Artist
Linda Buckman, Photography

"I started doing photography 33 years ago when my daughter was born and I became a stay-at-home mom. I loved taking pictures of her and my passion blossomed from that point forward.

I've taken several workshops over the years, participated in several photo tours and taught beginning photography in Fonda. For a few years I had my own photography business, but now I just take photos for my own pleasure.

I belong to the Schenectady Photographic Society and this will be my 22nd year participating with that group. I also belong to the Amsterdam Photo Club and the Mohawk Valley Photographers which is a small group of friends who get together to photograph and "talk story" about all things photographic.

My favorite subject always seems to be what's in front of my lens at any given time, but I seem to be enjoying architectural work more and more these days."
